Three beautiful women travel thirty light years to Earth in a desperate search for an unexploded nuclear device that was launched by their planet with the intention of annihilating Earth. Within minutes after penetrating the Earth’s atmosphere, their spacecraft, known to them as Rebekah Seven, is shot down by rockets launched from Mexico. The United States has no military and commercial flights are banned countrywide. Mexico carefully monitors U.S. airspace, hence the tracking and shooting down of the Rebekah Seven craft. The spacecraft lands in the heart of New Mexico’s White Sands Desert. Their navigator, Norma Thedalla, is injured and rendered unconscious during the rough landing. The other two women, Lieutenant Ava Hestura and Commander Kimba Cinarra, decide to leave their spaceship and investigate the terrain. They discover that the air quality and oxygen levels are nearly identical to the planet from which they came.Upon their exploration of the desert region, the women come across what was once a military compound that is now being used as a prison and work farm. There is only one prisoner, Faron Copely. He was sentenced to the compound to work for the government growing marijuana and harvesting “brown buttons.” Brown buttons are spores that grow on Giant Desert Cactus and are the primary ingredient used in making synthetic opium. Copely secretly allows Hestura and Cinarra to stay at the compound until they have their next plan of action in order.Meanwhile, the government assigned two investigators, Randall Hobbs and Jordan Randazzo, to track down the object the Mexicans shot out of the sky. Previous claims by Mexico of shooting unidentified craft out of the sky proved to be hoaxes and Hobbs was determined to prove this was just another hoax. He has his reasons: twenty-two years earlier, a similar spaceship landed within close proximity of his ranch that is located in the Texas Panhandle. The ship contained three women, Elena, Fontella and Ortera, all three from the same planet as Hestura and Cinarra. As with Hestura and Cinarra, these three women came to Earth in their that ship was called Rebekah Six, in search of the same unexploded nuclear device. Hobbs keep Elena, Fontella, and Ortera holed up at his ranch and over the course of their twenty-two-year stay at the ranch, the women began the long and frustrating process of rebuilding the Rebekah Six spacecraft with the intention of someday returning to their home planet. While out in the desert, Hobbs and Randazzo find Hestura and Cinarra’s Rebekah Seven spacecraft buried under a heavy accumulation of sand caused by a recent windstorm. The men find Thedalla, the unconscious third member of the crew, sleeping in a “healing chamber.” With the assistance of a close friend, junkyard owner Little Red, Hobbs manages to get the downed spacecraft back to his ranch. He then creates a false report stating that the Mexicans shot down a giant meteor, not Rebekah Seven. To substantiate this report, Randazzo collects several hundred pounds of rocks from a region a few hours north of where the Rebekah Seven spacecraft landed. They submit the report and turn the “meteor fragments” over to their superior.Meanwhile, Elena, Fontella and Ortera discover that certain components from the Rebekah Seven spacecraft that Hobbs hauled in from the desert contain the final pieces they need to get their own spacecraft working again. Thedalla, the unconscious navigator, is put in one of the bedrooms so she can continue her recuperation. When Elena and her crew integrated their computer system with the one removed from Rebekah Seven, they created a serious problem: the unintentionally set the nuclear device for which they were searching into its detonation sequence.
